Bronx Player “Thomas” Hits $100,000 Jackpot At Empire City Casino On July 14

It was a sweltering 92 degrees outside, but even hotter inside Empire City Casino when a slot-player identified as “Thomas” from The Bronx hit for a cool $100,000 jackpot on Thursday.

The second six-figure score of the month was registered at 4:30 pm on the Bally Double Jackpot Wild, a wildly popular slot-machine in the Gotham Palace. He made a $5 wager on the $1 denomination machine. It was a short drive for a long payoff for Thomas.

The six-figure jackpot was the seventh in 2016 at Empire City, one of the largest entertainment destinations in the northeast located less than two miles north of New York City.

The month started off with a bang at Empire City when a slot-player from Mamaroneck hit a $139,808 jackpot on July 1.
