Empire City Casino, in partnership with the New York Rangers, announced today that New York Rangers legend and Staten Island native Nick Fotiu will make his first visit to Empire City Casino to host the next Rangers Viewing Party this Thursday night, February 2nd, where fans can join Nick to cheer the Rangers on as they hit the road to take on the Buffalo Sabres.
It’s the “Year of the Rooster,” and Empire City Casino will put forth a traditional Chinese New Year Festival on Sunday, February 12 with a lion dance parade and live musical entertainment. Admission is free.
The Lunar New Year celebration will be complete with Chinese dancers and musicians in colorful costumes. First, the “Fortune God” will lead two lion dancers throughout the casino’s first and second floors, starting at the Valet Entrance, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. The Fortune God, signifying wealth and prosperity, and the lion dance are important pieces of the fabric of Chinese tradition and culture, particularly during the celebration of the New Year.
A network television comedy star originally from Wisconsin (who’s now a true-blue New Yorker), and a funnyman of Dominican heritage from the Bronx named Vladimir (that’s right!) will headline the two Wednesday Comedy Nights in February at Empire City Casino.
The eclectic and diverse mix of laughs will be provided by Pete Lee on Wednesday, February 8, and Vladimir Caamano on Wednesday, February 22. The comedians will be front and center in the casino’s Good Time Room.
Love and luck are in the air this Valentine’s Day! Whether you’re single, looking for love, or trying to rekindle a flame, relationship expert Siggy Flicker wants to help. Flicker, professional matchmaker, Star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHONJ) and best-selling author, will be appearing at Empire City Casino on Monday, February 13th to meet and greet fans, share relationship advice, and sign copies of her book: Write Your Own Fairy Tale: The New Rules for Dating, Relationships, and Finding Love On Your Terms.
The event is FREE, open to the public and will take place in the casino’s Entertainment Lounge from 8pm to 9pm. One hundred Empire Club Members will receive advance invites to a private Q&A with Siggy at 7pm where they will receive a free copy her book.
The biggest stage to watch the biggest game of the year is Empire City Casino with New York Giants Legend David Tyree, courtesy of JAG Sports Marketing. Tyree will be stopping by the premier entertainment destination in the Northeast to host a viewing party on Sunday when the Atlanta Falcons take on the New England Patriots for all the marbles.
The free festivities begin in the casino’s Entertainment Lounge at 5:30 PM on game day, where Tyree will mingle with fans, sign mini footballs which will be offered to the first 100 guests, and watch the game with fans until 6:30 PM. Empire City Casino is bringing in a 10 foot by 15 foot jumbo screen to bring football fans as close to the action as possible with seating on a first-come, first-serve basis along with $5 beers and hot dogs.

Graves, whose No. 9 Jersey was retired in 2009, played a pivotal role in bringing home the Rangers’ first Stanley Cup in over 54 years in 1994. Rangers Legend Stéphane Matteau hosted the first viewing party back on Saturday, December 17.
It’s all thumbs this week at Empire City Casino – and they’re green. Hundreds of landscape architects, designers, horticulturists, and arborists will descend on Empire City Casino in Yonkers on Wednesday, January 11, a place where green is usually presented in the form of jackpots.
