Empire City Casino, in partnership with the New York Rangers, announced today its schedule of viewing parties for several upcoming New York Rangers games hosted by former New York Rangers legends. The fun begins with Stanley Cup Champion Stéphane Matteau, who will mingle with fans, sign autographs, and cheer on the Rangers as they take on the Nashville Predators this Saturday night, December 17th.
Matteau, who is no stranger to Empire City Casino having hosted a viewing party earlier this year, scored the game winning goal in double overtime of Game 7 of the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals that helped pave the way for the Rangers first Stanley Cup in over 54 years.
Christmas came early at Empire City Casino with the presentation to Catholic Charities of nearly one thousand toys and coats collected during the casino’s Tenth Annual “Christmas Spirit” Toy and Coat Drive. The donations will ensure that New Yorkers in need have a warm coat this winter and a toy or two to put under the Christmas tree for their children.
Timothy J. Rooney, president and CEO of Empire City Casino, presented the annual donation to Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, executive director of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York and Órla Kelleher, executive director of Aisling Irish Community Center of Yonkers. The presentation took place inside the casino atrium with the donated toys and coats on full display.
